Launch of the Digital Schools Awards European Programme-Invitation to ACCS Schools.
Dear Secretary,
An opportunity has arisen for ACCS schools to take part in the Digital Schools Awards European Programme. A dedicated team will facilitate your school in undertaking the programme, linking you to a community of professional practice and providing resources and opportunities for your school to enhance its digital competences. Your school will be supported in using the European Commission’s SELFIE tool to review existing digital education practices, as well as develop action plans aimed at enhancing learning and teaching practices. Deirdre Hodson from the Education Department of the European Commission showcased the Selfie for Teachers and Selfie for Schools tools at the recent Education Conference in Kinsale Community School.
Registration is now open for the Digital Schools Awards European Programme and further details are provided in the attached document.
Schools and teachers who participate in the programme will have their practices acknowledged when they receive their award.
Given the release of the recent digital strategy for schools, ACCS sees engagement in this project as a wonderful opportunity for Community & Comprehensive schools.
